CASCADE PACIFIC PULP OPEN POSITIONS

Mechanical Engineer  (Posted: Aug 28, 2018)

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for capital and maintenance projects; project budget creation and cost control; team leadership for small and medium capital projects utilizing a front end loaded process; engineering analysis of structures & fluid systems; accurate documentation for mill equipment; systems design & troubleshooting; develop and execute repair plans for critical equipment; select, install, and commission new equipment.

BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field required. Preference given for industrial experience including project management experience on capital and maintenance projects; FE/EIT; experience with AutoCad / Solidworks, machine design, structural analysis and/or mechanics of fluid.

Chemist (Posted: Jul 27, 2018)

The Chemist will perform analytical testing of raw materials, mill processes, and pulp using validated test procedures; produce lab work that meets QA/QC standards; operate, maintain and calibrate lab equipment; safely handle hazardous materials; ability to perform work in all areas of the mill regardless of weather conditions, temperature, and/or heights. Position requires ability to work independently with some overtime. Some swing shift and weekend work is required.

Job related background: 4-year degree in chemistry or related science field preferred; experience performing general forms of analytical testing in a controlled setting. Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint preferred.

Journey Level Millwright (Posted: Mar 06, 2018)

Qualified applicants will have at least 3 years journey level millwright experience in a manufacturing environment. Duties include repair/replace/troubleshoot parts, equipment and machinery throughout the mill; read blueprints, schematics, lay-outs and diagrams; consult technical manuals and books as well as technicians on procedures, data, safety and quality control; utilize computer on a regular basis.

Completion of a 4-year apprenticeship including class work and a journey level millwright card is required; 4 or more additional years relevant experience may substitute in lieu of millwright card; machinist experience desirable; Pulp & Paper experience preferred. Starting wage of $36.46 plus a competitive full benefits package including 100% 401K match for the first 8%.
