Production Supervisor (Posted: May 24, 2018)

The Production Supervisor works a rotating shift with operations union personnel; will oversee safe operation of a 600 tpd pulp mill including recovery boiler, power boilers, chlorine dioxide pulp mill with 3 M&D digesters, and 700 tpd pulp dryer; will be incident commander during emergencies; and will coordinate maintenance activities to maximize equipment up-time.

Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in pulp manufacturing facility; relevant engineering or operational experience considered; 4-year engineering degree a plus. Salary DOE.

Journey Level Millwright (Posted: Mar 06, 2018)

Qualified applicants will have at least 3 years journey level millwright experience in a manufacturing environment. Duties include repair/replace/troubleshoot parts, equipment and machinery throughout the mill; read blueprints, schematics, lay-outs and diagrams; consult technical manuals and books as well as technicians on procedures, data, safety and quality control; utilize computer on a regular basis.

Completion of a 4-year apprenticeship including class work and a journey level millwright card is required; 4 or more additional years relevant experience may substitute in lieu of millwright card; machinist experience desirable; Pulp & Paper experience preferred. Starting wage of $36.46 plus a competitive full benefits package including 100% 401K match for the first 8%.

CAD Operator (Posted: Nov 02, 2017)

Cascade Pacific Pulp is looking for a part-time CAD Operator at our pulp mill in Halsey, Oregon.

The CAD Operator will prepare, revise, maintain, update and document drawings of mechanical, structural, and electrical equipment; develop utility standards and mill drafting standards; compile, document, and develop layouts, drawings and designs.

The successful applicant will be proficient with Autodesk AutoCAD and Dassault Solidworks CAD software; possess analytical problem-soliving abilities; professional, effective written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills; ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize. Preference given for industrial CAD experience, Pulp & Paper experience and/or machine design experience.
