CASCADE PACIFIC PULP OPEN POSITIONS
Buyer (Posted: Oct 09, 2017)
The Buyer will procure materials, parts, supplies, equipment and qualified contractor services; review purchase requests and coordinate specifications; pursue opportunities to consolidate purchases; prepare and publish bid specs and evaluate responses; negotiate new contracts and execute procurement strategies; perform duties of the department on-call person as scheduled, appropriately responding to after-hours calls from the mill.
Demonstrated stable work history; undergraduate degree or a minimum of 3 years purchasing related experience in a manufacturing environment; exposure to MRP systems and maintenance/operations planning; and knowledge of MS Office and Enterprise software all preferred. Successful candidate must maintain effective relations with a wide variety of mill personnel, outside suppliers, and vendors.
Reliability Engineer (Posted: Aug 17, 2017)
The Reliability Engineer will provide engineering support for the Maintenance department; determine and document appropriate improvements to mill equipment and/or design and manage repair or replacement; oversee inspections of mill systems; assist in mechanical planning for daily work and maintenance shut-downs; and plan, direct, supervise and coordinate work activities of union mechanical maintenance employees.
Qualified applicants will have a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or civil engineering with maintenance experience required; familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems, prior supervisory and/or pulp and paper industry experience preferred.
