Cascade Pacific Pulp is looking for dedicated productive candidates for openings at our Halsey pulp mill.


Controls Engineer

The Controls Engineer will manage the process control fiber optic media server base network; provide control engineering support for DCS, PLC and PI systems; provide instrument and engineering support; develop and execute repair plans; develop equipment specs, oversee outside support and provide project engineering for capital and other mill projects; oversee accurate documentation for all mill E&I systems. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Chemical Engineering; experience working with or class work covering process controls and network systems.


Management System Coordinator

The Coordinator will develop detailed knowledge and understanding of all mill processes through an intensive on-site training program and additional company-provided seminars/classes; implement and oversee a management organizational system which supports the achievement of organizational goals and strategic objectives; and compile data, prepare presentations and communicate results to upper management on a frequent, regular basis. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other technical field; strong communication and presentation skill set; interest in business and/or organizational systems helpful.


Process Engineer

The Process Engineer will lead trouble-shooting efforts in the Pulp Mill, Recovery, Recaust and with product quality; provide input on process development and optimization; coordinate/review engineering with consultants and with the process and quality chemists; includes research, data collection, analysis, and reporting.

Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Environmental, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering required.


Interns

Student must be pursuing an Engineering degree and have achieved class standing as a sophomore.


      Mechanical Engineering Intern:

    • Update mechanical P&ID drawings
    • Update equipment mechanical and structural drawings
    • Inspect and update tank structural Data
    • Assist in developing capital project cost estimates
    • Assist in managing inspection and mechanical contractors

      Process Engineering Intern:

    • Process efficiency testing
    • Conduct Mass & Energy balances
    • Yield studies
    • Wood classification research
    • Update flow and temperature P&ID drawings
